Stanley Garbus, MD, MPH
Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer


Stanley has more than two decades of experience across all phases of clinical research and safety surveillance. He founded Global Safety Surveillance, Inc., now doing business as Sentrx, to help pharmaceutical companies improve drug safety and manage risk from safety issues. As Chief Medical Officer, Stanley sets medical quality standards for the company, monitors clinical and medical safety aspects of adverse event cases, maintains regulatory compliance for the company and its clients, and serves as the legally responsible Corporate Medical Officer. Stanley also serves as Executive Vice President on the Sentrx Board of Directors.

Prior to founding Sentrx in 1995, Stanley held senior clinical research management positions in several international pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations. His achievements include implementing, managing, and reengineering adverse event tracking systems and providing crisis management consulting services, including an FDA Class I recall, and legal expertise to the pharmaceutical industry. An acknowledged expert in developing and implementing drug safety programs, Stanley is a frequent speaker and course leader at conferences and seminars.

Stanley received an MD from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, and completed specialty training in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He also received a Master's Degree in Public Health from the Yale University School of Medicine, Department of Epidemiology and Public Health.
